When
you see pictures like these. This is not reality. These are just very young
puppies. Nor will they stay that small full grown. Both of these puppies are
under 5 weeks old and will stay small but they will grow. Most likely big enough
to fit into a bread basket.Which does not sound as cute as teacup.
Here at Babbling
Brook Kennel under the web site Superstar Puppies We strive to breed
the best family pet. We specialize in Small Toy breed dogs. The Breeds we breed are the Pomeranians also known as the pom
. The Chihuahua . And the Toy Schanuzer a devloping breed. and on occassion the
morkie.
Teacup is not a breed, but a size. A Teacup Puppy
should not mature past 4 to 5 pounds. Some Toy Breeds already have these sizes within thier breed standard,
Why many who breed Toy breed puppies. Do not like the term teacup. They are quit
popular due to the tiny size. Most Toy breed dogs are seen being carried around in ones
hand or in designer puppy purses.
Some Toy Breed puppies will stay small as
the controversial, yet very popular teacup size. Or stay within larger portion of the toy size
standard of their breed. Which some breeds have size standards between 3 to 7
pounds. It is very important to understand these smaller sized pooches require special
owners. They are not toys as the name implies. So are not a children, or adults
toy to be treated like a ragamuffin. They are living breathing wonderful
creatures. Who need warmth, wholesome food, a safe environment. and plenty of
rest.
When purchasing any puppy. There is a strong urge to introduce that baby to
all your friends, family, and environment. This can be very dangerous. All
puppies must be kept fed, watered, and kept warm, but never allowed to over
heat. A toy breed puppy is not an outside puppy. Throwing it outside to fend for
itself without a secure environment is detrimental to its health. A puppy
outside in the Heat of Florida, Arizona, or parts of California. Can be a killer
for any puppy. The winters of NY, The New England areas Colorado as example will
be a sure death for a tiny toy breed puppy. So please do not allow your puppy to
get too cold or too hot.
A trip to the dog park, groomers, or allowed to wallow
on the floor of a busy vet clinics lobby. Can cause your new baby to
catch a life threatening disease. Your puppy must not be permiited to be in any of
these places, until they are finished with all the vaccinations.
All puppies must have a continued program of
vaccinations and worm treatments until they are
6 months old to protect them from very preventable diseases. Here at Babbling
Brook Kennel all vaccinations and worm treatments are up to date and good
for the next 2 weeks after you recieve your puppy. These
treatments are highly suggested to be given to every puppy until they are 16
weeks old. By 6 months old they should be given a rabies vaccination. Before
purchasing any kind puppy please contact your local veterinarian so as
you are prepared for the cost and needs of your new puppy.
Most professional Groomers will not suggest a tiny puppy to have a grooming
until they have finished all their vaccines no earlier then 16 weeks old. When
taking your baby to the vet it is very important to use a carrying crate or
purse so your puppy can not interact with strange animals. To help prevent
disease and injury.

Unlike adopt don't shop Campaigns. That try and deter Consumers away from
ALL breeders to boost their rescue product. Here at Babbling Brook Kennel we do
not reciprocate. We are Animal lovers first and do not like to see any animal
suffer.
If you
are looking for an older dog a rehome we at times rehome some of our adult dogs.
We know the temperament, needs, of all of our dogs who are all kid safe. If you
are wanting to rescue a dog on death row. We highly suggest your county shelter
over a rescue. Some rescues will not take back animals
that will not work out in your home. Which are just glorified
businesses who are worse then any Pet Store they
label.
If you are looking to save an
animal. It is much better for the animal, to rescue the animal direct from
the person not from the lucrative go between's. Or from a county Shelter.
Rescues in many states are not required to be licensed or inspected. If you have
purchased an animal from a rescue and you were not comfortable, please report
the abuse. There is no excuse for filthy condtions, or Animals not being cared
for properly.
All Breeders
will re- home older dogs or dogs that did not work out in thier
breeding prorgams. The go between's are interfering with breeder to customer
relations by demonizing all breeders and blaming all breeders for the thousands
on non descript mutts you find in shelters.
Because purchasing a rescue dog is not rescuing them unless you are giving
them a forever home.
Also say no to rescue imports. Dogs are being
brought to America at an alarming rate, with unknown disease. Already one person contracted rabies from one of these dogs. If America is genuinely riddled
with a large breed mutt over population we need to take
care of that problem here first in America before importing. Importing is causing
the real problems when these animals do not work out in the home and
or are skilled enough street animals to escape any attempt to keep
them as pets. These dogs go to American streets sometimes ending back in shelters or euthinized.
these numbers are being blamed on American tax paying Breeders. Please help stop these problems. Support
your local shelter. Or Contact a licensed breeder for an older
dog that needs to be re homed.
